Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a group of five (5) beautiful H. Fry Art Glass wine glasses/goblets with black reeded decoration, c. These clear crystal goblets are decorated with hand applied black glass reeded design that winds freely around the lower portion of the diamond optic textured bowl above the diagonal twisted stems. W hen the decorative applied threads were put on close together in a regular spiral by machine, the piece was said to have “threaded” decoration and when the threads were hand applied in an irregular fashion, the piece was said to have “reeded” decoration. This glass was also produced by Frederick Carder for Steuben glass during this same period. These lovely goblets are a nice example of Fry reeded glassware. Measures 5 1/2″ high with a 3″ diameter top and 2 5/8 diameter base. Combined weight is approximately 2 pounds. This lovely set is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
