AIRTWIST WINE STEMS SET OF 6. These glass stems are called the Airtwist Wine Glass , style number CW3W and were made by Royal Leerdam of Holland. Blenko was first to produce these for CW follow by Royal Leerdam , then Foreign Advisory and are no longer available. These hand-made lead crystal spiral air-twist forms were developed about 1735 and were popular throughout the middle of the 18. The air-twist stems also came in a water goblet and a sherbet ; later a large bell-shaped wine was added. This is a wine glass and measures 6 1/2 tall and the opening measures 3 1/8 in diameter. This set of 6 are in good vintage unused / used condition with no chips or cracks and 3 still have the CW and Royal Leerdam tags attached to the stems. They all have some type of water mark / marks which are only seen when holding up to a bright light, t he owner was lazy and thought it was ok to put in a dishwasher and let them dry while they askew and not draining properly , I would think they should be hand washed. I also will be listing a set of 8 Colonial Williamsburg CW1W Baluster Wine Stems by Royal Leerdam having the same issue, again do not put items of this kind in a dishwasher and let sit there to dry, they should be hand washed.
