These stunning glasses are hock wine glasses from the “Queen” collection by Rogaska produced in the 1990s. Rogaska is a luxury brand from Slovenia that began producing crystal glassware in 1927 and is at the highest level in terms of price, quality, and innovation in glassmaking. Rogaska stemware is hand-blown 24% lead crystal, characterized by intricate cut-glass design and brilliant color and clarity. This set of glasses showcases a complex pattern of diamond and wedge cuts. The bowls feature an etched floral design, large thumb prints, and criss-cross cuts. The sides are straight, not curved. A ball and wafter stem with notched edges leads to a star-patterned foot. A hock wine glass is primarily used to serve white wines. The shape helps to showcase the wine’s aromas and allows for gentle aeration, while the tall stem prevents the drinker’s body heat from warming the wine. Each glass measures 8″H with a 3.25″ top diameter. The glasses weigh a combined 3.25 lbs, and are in pristine condition. Hey, you have great taste!
