SET Intaglio Engraved Antique Cut Crystal Champagne Flutes Sinclaire Hawkes Webb. The executer believed these stems to be early 19th century Pairpoint, I suspect Sinclaire, Hawkes or one of their British contemporaries (Webb / Rock Crystal). The champagne flutes / wines have a striking design with bell shaped flaring bowls and hollow deep neck. The thin walled crystal shows excellent clarity with subtle hand blown character and lovely prolonged tone quality. The intaglio wheel engraved design features swaged beaded floral garlands with draped flowers and foliage and a repeating beaded pattern on the stems. The glasses measure 5 5/8″ high, 2 1/2″ across the top rim and hold 3 1/2 ounces (there is some variability in the base disc diameter in these hand blown glasses). All EIGHT are in excellent condition with no damage. This lovely intaglio engraved set would make a fine addition to any collection of 1910 – 1930s vintage cut glass (Sinclaire / Hawkes / Webb).
