SET 8 Intaglio Engraved Antique Cut Rock Crystal Goblets Sinclaire Hawkes Webb. The executer believed these stems to be early 19th century Pairpoint, I suspect Sinclaire, Hawkes or one of their British contemporaries (Webb / Rock Crystal). The glasses have a striking design with bell shaped flaring bowls and hollow deep neck. The thin walled crystal shows excellent clarity with subtle hand blown character and lovely prolonged tone quality. The intaglio wheel engraved design features swaged beaded floral garlands with draped flowers and foliage and a repeating beaded pattern on the stems. The glasses measure 6 1/8″ high, 3 ¼” across the top rim and hold (8) ounces (I suspect these were originally waters but would be appropriate now for white wine). All EIGHT are in excellent condition with the only issue being a pinpoint nick on the top rim of one glass.
