Exquisite Antique Edinburgh Scotland Cranberry Diamond Cut Short Wide Mouth Cordial Glasses. These majestic crystal glasses no doubt pre-date modern Edinburgh Thistle Glasses as the modern glasses are signed and have a different stem. These may date back as far back as the 1850s-70s. The cranberry glass is a beautiful translucent color, the diamond cuts on the body catch the light, hand cut and polished vertical panels create a majestic sweep on the gracious bowls. Stems are hand blown clear crystal, an applied knopf in the stem and hand finished disc foot. Pure elegance, very rare in the cranberry color. These all are listed as Edinburgh Scotland but exact maker, be it German, Czech, French, English or American are difficult to ascertain due to the antiquity and lack of signature. Each thistle cordial glass is 3 3/4″ tall, 2 3/8″ wide diameter at the top opening.
