Extremely thin, the Louis XV design on this V-shape bowl is an example of copper wheel engraving at its best. Its intricately cut stem and starred foot are a credit to the art of stone grinding. Created in 1910, this beautiful pattern was chosen to decorate the official table of French Prime Ministers at the Matignon Palace in Paris.
